Irvine, CA (January 27, 2004) - Wolverine Decision Technology, Inc. today announced
that ATEN Technology, Inc., a US subsidiary of ATEN International Co., Ltd., has
signed a purchase agreement with Wolverine to deploy Wolverine2.5 to improve the
visibility of demand and supply and plan purchases in a more proactive and accurate
fashion to reduce costs, increase profitability and improve customer satisfaction.
ATEN Technology, Inc. is strategically located in Irvine, California to serve as the US
sales, marketing, customer service, and warehousing arms of ATEN International's
computer connectivity products. In addition to the ATEN brand of products, the company
has successfully established and launched the IOGear and Altusen brands, both of which
have contributed to the record sales and revenue growth for the past few years. Despite
the fact that ATEN Technology, Inc. is growing, inventory and purchasing planning
related issues are constantly forming. These issues pose big challenges to the company as
it plans to grow at the same rate while maintaining a good profit margin and stable
operations.
To resolve or alleviate the above-mentioned problems, ATEN Technology will
implement four of the five applications from the Wolverine2.5 suite into their current
planning process - Wolverine Demand Manager, Wolverine Inventory Manager,
Wolverine Promotion Manager and the Wolverine Collaboration Platforom.
Cooperatively, these modules offer a common platform for all members participating in
the planning process, maintain historical trade sales, promotion, and pricing data, and
provide data visibility and intelligent decision support. Few changes are required to the
existing planning process in order to fully implement the system.
